In the Streets of London with the elegant Retro Dress “Grace” by BlackButterfly

Hats, stockings, gloves, and long sleeves – autumn definitely arrived. Unfortunately the actual Golden Season isn’t always as pretty as it should be. Not uncommonly it’s grey and gloomy outside. In this case, light colours are always great to raise my spirits.

Perfect for gloomy Days: The Retro Dress “Grace” with long Sleeves

A wonderful example is the dress “Grace” in champagne by BlackButterfly. Long sleeves keep you warm even if it’s quite chilly outside while the skirt flutters in the wind. All the cute details like the slight puffy sleeves and the bow belt make it a real eyecatcher. For a bit more volume I wear a true vintage petticoat underneath. But the best is yet to come: BlackButterfly dresses aren’t expensive instead they have very fair prices.

Vintage inspired accessories finish the look: The little black hat is one of my favs and so are the classy nylon stockings by Secrets in Lace. Some rose earrings, and gloves – that’s it.

Our photo location this time were the Tower Bridge and some smaller streets in London. Where else would English retro fashion fit better than there?

By the way: If you are curious to know why we visited London for one weekend, you will find the answer in this blog post.

  1. Just when I thought you couldn’t possibly deliver any more elegance than you have so often before, you go and show us what is for me probably your no.1 look from all your posts. This is absolutely divine. What a difference the hat and gloves make to the outfit. As a sucker for nice stockings, I also really like the way your stockings heels seem to mirror your shoe heels – I always admire those shoes, by the way. Beautiful, and perfect for what I consider to be the best city in the world! Kx

    1. Thank you so much Karen!!
London definitely is the best city in the world. Such a wonderful place on earth.
This is one of my favourite outfits, too. Warm enough, stylish, and comfy at the same time.

I wish a wonderful start into the weekend!

  2. Fantastic photos – the lighting here is so captivating and the urban setting equally arresting. Love your chic outfit – and that you touched on the point regarding how we idolize/envision fall being and how it actually plays out weather wise often being two rather different things. Awesome job on making the most of a less-than-picture-perfect day in that regard.

    Big hugs,
    ♥ Jessica

    1. Thank you so much dear!
I was a bit sad because I hoped the weather would be better. But in the end, I really like the photos. And let’s be honest, it is the UK so grey weather is not very unusal. 😉 Nevertheless, London is a wonderful city.

      Many hugs,
      Sandra <3
