Amazing colours as far as the eye can see, rustling leaves underneath ones feet, and a chilly wind blowing through the hair. Long autumn walks are one of the most beautiful things and my favourite pastime currently. With the right outfit, they are even more beautiful. At the moment, I love floral prints to compensate the grey October sky. I especially like the combination of flowery prints and black. So it’s no wonder that the “Barbara Dress” by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury became one of my must-haves for fall the moment I saw her.
A Wrap Dress with a floral Print: “Barbara” by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury
“Barbara” is a classy 40s inspired wrap dress with a gorgeous floral print and lovely details like ruffles along the neckline. The light crepe de chine fabric flutters amazingly in the wind, while three-quarter sleeves protect against the cold. On particularly chilly autumn days, I wear a simple black jacket on top of the retro dress.
To keep my legs warm, I wear the Premier Euro Heel Strümpfen in “Lilac” by Secrets in Lace (in this blogpost, I introduce matching garter belts), and team them with shoes that have a colour-matching sole, as well as a black true vintage handbag. Sparkling earrings add even more glamour to the outfit, while the lilac lipstick “Plum-Brella” by Guerlain finishes this 40s inspired fall look.
By the way: After a long atumn walk, I like to warm with a cup of hot tea and a good book. 😉
