Colourful seamed Stockings by What Katie Did: Review
The seamed stockings by What Katie Did are available in many different colours, so there is an option available for almost every outfit. But let’s talk about them a bit more in the following.
Colour and Features
My stockings have an almost sheer champagne colour with a dark red seam and a colour-matching welt. The stockings are available in different shades, though. There are champagne coloured ones with seams in blue, lilac, yellow, green, red, pink and many more shades available. But What Katie Did also offers sheer black stockings with colourful seams.
The stockings have a very subtle satin finish and look great on the legs. The seam is quite prominent, the heels have a pointy shape, a soll called “Cuban Heel”. I have to mention that this is an artificial seam, so no real seam as it would be the case with fully fashioned nylons. Nevertheless, the stockings add a lovely retro charme to the outfit.
The upper part of the stockings, the so-called welt, has the same colour as the seam. This is also the part where I adjust my garter belt. If I put the stockings on, I also grab them at the solid welt to save the more delicate parts. Toes, part of the soles and heels are reinforced, by the way.
Wearing Comfort
The wearing comfort of my stockings is good. They feel great on the skin. I always wear them with a quite solid garter belt, though, to make sure they do not slip down, even when I am moving a lot.
My Conclusion:
The seamed stockings by What Katie Did are available in a lot of different colours and therefore, I am sure there is also a pair for your favourite dress/skirt available. They are comfortable and do not wrinkle while wearing them, due to an elastane share. Although I personally prefer true fully fashioned nylons with real seams, I really do like them as they add a great variety and some pops of colour to my closet. The price with about 15 Euro is appropriate, in my opinion. Especially as I have worn mine quite often and also hand washed them a few times, and they are still in a very good condition.
So if you like stockings with colourful seams, these are definitely some that are worth a deeper look.
How to style the colourful Stockings by What Katie Did
You can either colour-match your stockings with your outfit or add some pops of colours to a little black dress. If you are fashion brave enough, you can also do colour blocking and wear your colourful stockings with an outfit in a contrasting colour.
