Dark Academia: The Heritage Sweater by Lena Hoschek meets a miniskirt
My last Christmas outfit was very classic and 50’s style – perfect for Christmas parties and even Christmas Eve! I love midi skirts, pretty nylons etc. but sometimes miniskirts just really smile at me. We can also style short skirts in a classic and elegant way! This look is the perfect example of that. A warm winter outfit with traditional details.

The Highland Heritage Jumper & a Mini Skirt
The entire outfit came to mind when I saw the Highland Heritage sweater from Lena Hoschek’s Scotland Collection. It’s so wonderfully old-fashioned and classic that I just had to have it. You can also wear it wonderfully with trousers, even jeans. Personally, I wanted a slightly bolder look and had the look of a student at an elite university in mind. The Dark Academia style is really popular anyway and a trend that I can identify with (that doesn’t happen that often ;-)).
So to make the look a little younger and stylisher, I’m going for a mini skirt. It takes away the severity of the sweater. My checked skirt is from Koton. My tip: Look for checked mini skirts on platforms like Vinted, Ebay* and Co., there are a lot of them for really great prices! I bought another model there for just 5 euros including shipping!
Since it’s December and I didn’t want to freeze, I chose warm thermal tights in beige and simply wore brown 40 denier tights over them.
Boots and a handbag in a matching color perfect the classic winter outfit.
