My fashion wish list for 2024

I haven’t had any New Year’s resolutions for a long time, I don’t stick to them anyway. That’s why this year I’m introducing a new, much more fun tradition. A wish list for the new year. Admittedly, I have more than enough clothes and accessories. That’s why I would like to place even more emphasis on quality, longevity and timelessness in the future. While I’m selling some things (feel free to check out my Vinted profile), next year I’ll only be investing in things that I’m sure I’ll wear and love for many years. I want to invest in my first really expensive designer handbag, I’m looking for shoes that will last me for many summers and clothes that look great and are as long-lasting as possible (after all, with a baby they have to survive many washes).

Of course I would like to share my personal wish list with you. At the end of 2024, I have decided that I will see what I have invested in and be honest with myself if I have fallen into a shopping frenzy and bought things that I don’t really need. 😉

My number 1 on the wish list: The Eleanor handbag by Tory Burch

For years I have wanted to invest in a really great, timeless handbag that I will hopefully wear for a lifetime. So far, however, the problem has always been that the handbag I want is either so exorbitantly expensive that it is out of the question for me. Or I just wasn’t 100% sure whether the model was really THE favorite piece. But now I’ve found it, I’m sure of it: the Eleanor handbag Tory Burch*. Admittedly, it’s definitely not a bargain, but at least it’s not completely overpriced compared to other designer brands. It really fulfills everything I want from such an expensive bag: timeless, simple design, not too big and not too small, has a handle and a shoulder strap and immediately impressed me at first glance. So now it’s time to save and then strike. 🙂

I’m ready for summer again! Light clothes, feel the warming sun on your skin and spend the day by the lake or sea. Is there anything more beautiful? In any case, I have already found the perfect accessories for a wonderful summer day: the Mirabel straw hat (e.g. via Net-a-porter*) and a matching straw bag from Eugenia Kim (e.g. via Net-a-porter*).

A Swimsuit by Agent Provocateur

Of course, a summer day by the water also requires the right swimwear. A swimsuit from Agent Provocateur* has been on my wish list for a long time. I find them super sexy, exciting and luxurious at the same time.

Shoes for Summer

I’m still looking for a great pair of high heels for the summer. At the moment I’m not quite sure where I’m going. But I really like the shoes from Aquazzura (e.g. via MyTheresa*). Maybe it will be a pair of nice velvet pumps. 🙂

One or tow lovely Garments

When it comes to clothes, I have only partially decided what exactly I want to invest in. For spring/summer and fall/winter I would like to buy one or two items of clothing that I particularly like. I have already chosen a dress from Lena Hoschek for the warm season: the Giorgia Printed Midi Dress (e.g. via Moda Operandi*) and I would also like to buy a ribbon skirt from Lena Hoschek. I already own a mini-ribbon skirt, but will invest in a midi-length model. For fall/winter 2024/2025, I will also look at Lena Hoschek. I’m almost sure I’ll leave my budget there. I just really like the feminine style of the Austrian designer.

That was my personal fashion wish list for 2024. Of course, I know that the things on it are all pretty expensive. However, I have calculated that if I forgo other shopping escapades and instead invest in a few high-quality designer pieces, I won’t get any more expensive. In the long run I’ll probably even save money, after all, if I actually buy the things on my wish list, I’ll definitely wear them with pleasure for a very long time. 🙂
