Beautiful stockings with red seams & styling tips
Seamed stockings always look elegant and exude that old Hollywood glamour. Stockings with red seams look even more exciting and seductive! They are also great for occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Christmas or New Year’s Eve. But of course you can also just wear them whenever you want. In this blog post I’ll tell you how to style them and which models are the most beautiful in my opinion.
The Scarlett Stockings by Fiore
Let’s start with an inexpensive model that really looks great. The Scarlett stockings from Fiore (e.g. via The Tight Spot*, with the code RETROCAT you even get a 10% discount) are black stockings with a beautiful, dark red seam. The upper area of the stockings, the so-called welt, also has a beautiful red and great design. They may not be the most durable, but they definitely represent good value for money. Tip: It’s best to buy two pairs at once. If a stocking gets ruined, you can replace it with a new one and still have another one left as an additional replacement. 🙂

The classy Stockings by What Katie Did
The colorful seamed stockings from What Katie Did* are very popular in the retro and vintage scene. They come in a variety of different colors and are also affordable. I particularly like the skin-colored stockings with dark red seams. I even published a detailed review of them here. Secrets in Lace is one of the few brands that still produces the original fully fashioned nylons. Accordingly, the Shiny Red Seam Nylons are a little more expensive than the other stockings I introduced to you. But you also get classic, real nylons with the glamorous Old Hollywood feeling. 🙂

Let’s get to the question of how we can style our stockings with red seams. The outfit looks particularly beautiful and harmonious when the color of the seam matches that of the dress/skirt perfectly. Of course, they also go wonderfully with completely black outfits.
