A linen dress for hot, humid summer days
I really like summer. However, in our latitudes it is either wet and relatively cool or really humid during the warm season. To be honest, I don’t really like the latter. 30 °C in the shade of the pine trees by the sea – always happy! 30 °C humid weather and still doing housework, work etc. – well… But it doesn’t help, we have to get through it. It’s good that there are clothes that make the temperatures a little more bearable. I find linen particularly pleasant in summer.

Why linen in summer?
Linen has always been considered a classic summer fabric and not without reason: it feels nice and cool when you put it on, impresses with its high air permeability and allows the skin to breathe, but still provides enough warmth even in the cool evening hours. A perfect material for hot summer days and nights!
You can find some of the most beautiful linen dresses in cottagecore style at Son de Flor*. I think the mini wrap dress with wide butterfly sleeves is particularly cute. The floral pattern looks wonderfully summery, while the airy cut is just perfect for the warm season.
The matching straw hat for the cottagecore dress
A straw hat is the perfect accessory to complete the summer cottagecore outfit. Not only does it protect you from the sun, it also gives your look a charming, rural touch. It’s best to choose a hat with a relatively wide brim to provide enough shade for your face while looking stylish.
I combine the dress and straw hat with flat shoes. Styled like this, it’s perfect for warm summer days in the country.
