Late summer is my absolute favorite time of year! This unbearable heat is finally a thing of the past. The days are usually pleasantly warm, while it cools down at night. Sometimes the first low fog sets in early in the morning. The light looks golden and there is still time to put out the summer clothes before we switch to the fall wardrobe. Nevertheless, at this time I always get a little longing for autumnal looks in warm colors. Plus, it can get a little chilly in the shade while we’re still sweating in the sun. Late summer calls for particularly versatile outfits.

In late summer I practically live in airy dresses with medium-length sleeves. I choose warm colors and classic cuts. Shirt dresses, for example, are a great idea. The longer sleeves keep you warm, even when it gets cooler in the evening. However, light fabrics such as crepe and cuts that are not too tight ensure that you don’t sweat during the day. Linen is a durable, natural fabric that has a cooling effect in summer and warmth in winter and impresses with its characteristic texture and elegant look. Therefore it is actually a good choice at any time of the year. I really appreciate the fabric, especially in late summer. During the warm hours of the day, linen dresses feel wonderfully cooling. Dark summer dresses are a perfect choice for late summer. While I actually prefer color in midsummer, by the end of August at the latest I’m already in a dark mood. Then my black summer dresses come into play. The perfect temporary solution until I unpack my fall looks. I think the Giorgia dress by Lena Hoschek is particularly beautiful (see picture).

Late summer is still summer and therefore accessories can also be summery. Basket bags, straw hats, wedge sandals and sunglasses remain popular. After all, we can wear boots etc. for a long time. Add large earrings and other pieces of jewelry and we are perfectly dressed.
