A red ribbon skirt suitable for autumn

Rust red, gold and warm brown – autumn shines once again in all colors before saying goodbye in the not too distant future. Sometimes it smells like winter, but until the coldes of all seasons really comes, I enjoy the colorful nature. In the morning, the low fog creates a mystical atmosphere, only to often clear up around midday and let in a few warming rays of sunshine. In keeping with the season, I currently like to dress in warm red tones.

The Poppy Field Ribbon Skirt: Warm colors for fall

The basis of my current favorite fall look is my new ribbon skirt from Lena Hoschek. By the way, a ribbon skirt was one of my first pieces of retro clothing around ten (!) years ago. Back then I decided on a shorter version and I still really enjoy wearing it (here I’m wearing it, for example). Since I love it so much, it was time to invest in another one. This time I wanted a classic, longer skirt and ended up with the knee-length swing version. This has a slightly more voluminous cut than the “Classic Versions” and therefore looks beautifully flared – without any underskirt. When it came to the color, I was impressed by the wonderful red of the Poppy Field Skirt; my other Ribbon Skirt has a slightly darker look. You can find many more ribbon skirts on Lena Hoschek‘s website.

Ribbon skirts are really easy to combine. Because they are so colorful, they go well with different tops – whether it’s a simple top in black or a perfectly coordinated knitted top. Plus, the ribbon skirts are really long-lasting if cared for properly. But they have to be, because you can’t exactly call them a bargain. But my purchase was well thought out and I didn’t regret it for a second. 🙂

As just mentioned, styling ribbon skirts is super easy. This time I chose a knitted top in a perfectly coordinated color. By the way, my red top is a vintage Prada find and therefore something very special. Super soft, wonderfully comfortable and just right for sunny, warm autumn days. On cooler days, however, I combine the ribbon skirt with a cozy, warm turtleneck sweater.

Matching Nylons for the autumn look

When it came to choosing the right stockings, I couldn’t decide at all this time, so I just packed two pairs of nylons. 😉 The nude-colored seamed stockings are from Secrets in Lace and are very subtle. I really like that they look classy and understated, but are still authentic with real seams.

The red nylons, on the other hand, are really eye-catching and from Agent Provocateur. In everyday life I naturally tend towards the skin-colored model, but I also really like the red stockings for special occasions. Which do you like better? 🙂
