A wintery outfit inspired by Blair Waldorf’s ice skating look from the Christmas episode

My Christmas outfit this year is inspired by my favorite series from my teenage years: Gossip Girl. Blair Waldorf was not only my favorite character, but also had a lasting influence on my style. She was my role model with her feminine, elegant outfits and thanks to her I discovered my love of skirts and dresses. If you don’t know the series yet, I definitely recommend you give it a chance. Of course, I’ve grown up now and see it with different eyes, but it still catapults me back to my teenage years in a nice way. You can stream Gossip Girl on Netflix. 😉

Gossip Girl Style: Blair Waldorf’s “Ice Skating Outfit”

RetroCat with white tights and cape in the style of Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl

Blair Waldorf’s ice skating look from the first season enchanted me back then and is still one of my favorite outfits from the series. The look, consisting of a miniskirt, pink turtleneck sweater and matching cape, is as timeless as it is magical. Add white tights, a beret and gloves and the cute outfit is perfect for ice skating.

I changed my outfit a little because I don’t have a checked cape in the right length. So I’m combining my checked skirt with a cute black cape jacket. This also has the advantage that I can easily wear black ankle boots with the outfit. Ballet flats are really not a good choice in snow and freezing cold. 😉

By the way, I would have loved to go ice skating in this look, but unfortunately the lake is not completely frozen yet and so I had to settle for a walk through the snow. 😉

And with that, I say goodbye for now and happy holidays. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a few wonderful days with your loved ones!

You know you love me!

xoxo
