Snow flurries and the first whispers of spring—February felt like the perfect in-between. One last chance to savor winter’s magic before warmer temperatures and golden sunshine delivered a gentle preview of spring. Here’s what filled my days this month.
What I did:

For a few magical days, February brought back a proper winter wonderland. Instead of grumbling about the snow, I chose to lean in and enjoy it: sledding, building snowmen, making snow angels—the full nostalgic program. I also embraced the quiet rhythm of winter by spending plenty of time reading (you’ll find my full book list further down).
And then—almost overnight—the mood shifted. Sunshine and milder temperatures lifted everyone’s spirits. I used the opportunity to tidy up my garden beds and prepare them for the first sowings of the season. There’s something deeply satisfying about getting your hands into the soil again after winter.
What I wore

Even though the sun made a few appearances, February is still very much winter. So my wardrobe stayed true to the season: Warm dresses Sweater-and-trouser combinations Sturdy boots And, of course, coats Comfort met practicality—with just a hint of anticipation for lighter layers ahead.

What I bought
My shopping basket stayed mostly empty this month. I decided to try something different: a shopping fast. Not from specific foods—but from buying things. 😉
That said, one item was essential for the upcoming gardening season: a compost sieve. Sometimes practical purchases are simply non-negotiable.

February was rich in magical worlds and page-turning tension.
Enchantra by Kaily Smith
A dose of dark magic entered my home with Enchantra, a spicy fantasy story filled with intrigue, dangerous closeness, and that particular kind of darkness that slowly seeps under your skin.
It’s the second installment of Phantasma, which I had already read in January—and I loved diving deeper into this atmospheric fantasy world.
Crazy Spooky Love by Josie Silver
This one brought charming hauntings and a touch of romance into the mix. A paranormal romance that blends heart-fluttering moments with ghostly chaos in a wonderfully light and slightly quirky way.
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
Dragons. A deadly academy setting. Crackling tension.
Fourth Wing completely pulled me in. Yes, I know—I’m a little late to the hype, and the book has been trending on TikTok for quite some time. But now I can officially join the conversation—and I do understand the buzz.
