Right after Christmas and New Year’s Eve, it’s finally winter here in Germany. Beside freezing cold temperatures we also had snow storms. It’s quite difficult to find stylish but warm retro outfits for winter days like those. But I guess Santa felt pity for me and don’t want me to freeze in my dresses. So under the Christmas Tree I found the beautiful red Fairy Coat by Hell Bunny.
The beautiful vintage inspired Fairy Coat for Winter
The Fairy Coat has a similar cut like the Angeline Coat by Hell Bunny, which I already showed you here. However, the Fairy Coat is something very special: It has embroiderys of fairy-tale characters just as Snow White or Red Riding Hood on the skirt.
Black faux fur trims on the collar and sleeves help to stay warm even when it’s freezing outside. What I really love about the collar is that one can button it up to the top, so you don’t need a scarf. The skirts is very voluminous and there is enough room to wear a petticoat underneath.
Even the black buttons look very beautiful and are a great contrast to the red fabric of the retro coat.
Cosy retro Accessories for Winter
A coat is not enough to stay warm on very cold days. So I normally wear warm, lined boots instead of my beloved vintage inspired ankle booties. I also replaced my nylon stockings by opaque, thermal tights. Long gloves are another great way to keep yourself warm. And since my hair does what it wants when it’s so wet outside, I decided to cover it with a cosy wool beret.
My makeup is quite simple this time. I haven’t used eyeliner, on my lips I’m wearing a combination of the Ultimate Lipstick in “Dangerously Chic” by Mac and the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “Copenhagen”. A little bit of blush, natural eyeshadow, and mascara – that’s it.
