Twittering birds, rustling leaves, and pleasant temperatures: On hot days, I really enjoy hiding in the woods or escaping to the countryside. The many trees provide shade and the air is so much fresher than in the city. Of course a comfortable but still stylish retro look is perfect for a day like this.
A comfortable retro Look with a gingham Top and vintage Hat
There is nothing that calls summer like gingham! This time, I chose a red and white gingham top by Collectif Clothing as well as high waisted pants by Steady Clothing. Even though I usually prefer skirts and dresses, pants are a pretty good choice when you are in the woods; just think of all those branches and insects. Capripants or shorts also go pretty well with the top, by the way. 😉
A hat is a must on sunny days, mine is a true vintage piece from the 50s. In this blog post, I show you even more pretty hats. Rough paths call for flat shoes, so I chose ballet flats by Melissa. I mean, they are maybe not made to climb a moutain, however, they work surprisingly well in the woods.
Accessories add that certain something to the vintage inspired look. I teamed the outfit with colour matching earrings by Glitter Paradise and a beautiful vintage flower necklace. A true vintage handbag as well as red lipstick finish the retro look.
