After a very long and hot summer, we now have a wonderful late summer. The light is already autumnal golden, but the sun is still shining almost every day. And while the nights are getting cooler, the leaves get more colourful. We took advantage of such a gorgeous late summer weekend and went on a trip to Switzerland. Beside visiting Basel, we also went to Solothurn, a charming small city, where we took the photos for this outfitpost.

Perfect for late Summer: Blue Midi-Skirt and white Blouse

As soon as the air is getting cooler, I love to wear thicker fabrics. My blue midi-skirt, a true vintage piece from the 50s, is make of a solid cotton fabric and keeps its shape even without a petticoat. I teamed the skirt with a white lace blouse, which you maybe already know from this blogpost.

More vintage inspired Midi-Skirts:

My shoes are flat and comfy, as I had to walk around the whole day long. The lovely basket bag is another true vintage find and matches the outfit perfectly. A white knitted cardigan by Vivien of Holloway, which I already showed you here, keeps me warm when it’s getting colder in the evening. Hairflowers by Sophisticated Lady Hairflowers add an autumnal touch to the look and finish the 50s inspired outfit.

Classy vintage Makeup

My makeup is classy and easy at the same time. As always, I start with a foundation and the Météorites by Guerlain. Afterwards, I use the Eyeshadow Primer Potion by Urban Decay and apply some brown eyeshadow. Lots of mascara finishes the eye makeup, while blush as well as red lipstick add a classy touch to the look.
