How to style a lace collar dress
There isn’t a look, currently, that I like more than a classy black and white outfit. Wearing such an outfit, no matter where I go, what I do, or whom I meet, I am always perfectly dressed. I already wrote about my big love for black and white looks in September (click here, if you haven’t read the blogpost). This time, I want to show another variation of this classy outfit and found another big fashion love: The lace collar! So keep on reading if you like little black dresses and white lace collars. 🙂

White Lace Collar meets the Little Black Dress
A little black dress, white details and a lace collar – I believe there isn’t something that is more me than the Lace Collar Dress by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury*. White buttons as well as a matching belt make this dress look bourgeois and cheeky at the same time, if this makes sense. 🙂 And this mixture is exaclty what makes the dress so thrilling for me.

By the way: Back in time, lace collars were a luxury accessory and worn with different garments. Those – most of the time removable – collars were combined with subtle blouses, dresses or sweaters, for example. Such a pretty lace collar really adds that certain something to an outfit. Just try it and wear a lace collar on top of whatever you like – you will see how different your outfit will look afterwards!

Dotted Nylons meet the Little Black Dress
I decided to team this high-necked dress with some thrilling nylon stockings. My stockings, by the way, are super special, as they have a seam and dots! How amazing, isn’t it? Of course you can also go for a classy pair of seamed stockings, but I believe the dots really add something special to the look.

Matching retro Accessories
Now, the only things we need are a few more elegant accessories. I went for chic pumps, white gloves as well as a pretty hat and sparkly vintage earrings – that’s it. 🙂

Dear Sandra, what a dreamy, elegant, fabulously lovely and classy vintage look. Hollywood glamour comes to mind! Surely one of your best? But how can one choose? The length and fall of the skirt is perfect – I can imagine the swing. And, as always, you have made a perfect hosiery choice – seam AND dots. I need some of those now (although I might try to find tights instead). K
