Lovely activities for the Christmas days
Whoosh, it’s Christmas again! Sometimes I find it fascinating and frightening at the same time how quickly a year can go by. For us it is the first Christmas as a family of three, which makes it all the more exciting and joyful this year. So we’ll take it easy over the next few days and celebrate in a relaxed atmosphere with the family. Today I would like to tell you my favorite activities for the Christmas holidays.
Fresh Air for all of us: The Christmas Walk
Fresh air is always good, especially at Christmas, in my opinion. Between all the stress of wrapping presents, cooking, baking and preparation, it’s sometimes hard to stay calm. A walk in the fresh air feels really good, then.
Ice skating: A great activity for the Christmas holidays
Ice skating has also been one of my favorite Christmas traditions for years. When it’s cold enough and the lake where we live is frozen over, we naturally prefer to skate on it. Otherwise, the ice rink will have to serve. Maybe there is even an ice rink in your hometown, ideally with a mulled wine stand. 😉 Otherwise don’t forget: a thermos can full of delicious punch!

Decorate the Christmas Tree
In our home, the Christmas tree is traditionally decorated on December 23rd, the day before Christmas Eve. Meanwhile we drink Christmas tea, snack on cookies and listen to Christmas carols. This really gets the whole family in the mood for the upcoming holidays and is a really nice ritual.

Christmas activities: Watch Christmas movies
What would Christmas be without Christmas films? In addition to classics like Home Alone, I also like The Gremlins and Krampus. So put on your cozy clothes, grab the cookies and let the cozy movie evening begin!

Voila, that’s it, we don’t do much else at Christmas and that’s a good thing. After all, these few days of the year belong entirely to family and/or dear friends.
Now I wish you a wonderful and relaxing Christmas, whether with your family, alone or with your chosen family.
