Retro jackets for fall
Collecting chestnuts, flying kites and walking through the rustling leaves – nature is simply wonderful in autumn and the activities in the fresh air remind me of carefree childhood days. The only problem: What should you wear when it’s too warm for warm winter coats but too cold for no jacket? Transitional jackets would be a perfect choice. However, I can’t stand the bright functional jackets that you find in stores these days – I wouldn’t even climb a mountain in them. Fortunately, there are much nicer models that are at least just as suitable for autumn.
Capes: The stylish alternative to the classic jacket
Capes are probably the most stylish way to wear a jacket. Very elegant, timeless and able to transform even a simple leggings into a stylish outfit. But a cape also goes wonderfully with cigarette trousers or dresses.

Classic for the transitional season: the trench coat
A trench coat is the perfect companion for fall! It protects against the cool temperatures, looks super stylish and simply never goes out of style. Trench coats are timeless fashion classics that can be worn for many years if well cared for. For this reason, I think they can cost a little more. But there are also inexpensive models that simply look great.
Personally, I love my rust-red trench coat from Ginger Jackie, which brings color into play on gray autumn days and shines with the colorful autumn leaves on sunny days. If you prefer something classic, simply go for beige.

Retro jackets for fall: An elegant swing coat
Wide-cut swing jackets or coats even fit over thick and super cozy wool sweaters. Of course, they also look fantastic with dresses. By the way, my jacket is from The Seamstress of Bloomsbury z. B. via Etsy*.

Fitted peplum jackets & blazers in the New Look for fall
Peplum jackets in the New Look – it doesn’t get any more elegant today! They create a wonderful hourglass silhouette and go wonderfully with tight and wide skirts and classic suit trousers.

Retro jackets for autumn: A cool blouson for a walk
Capes, trench coats and swing jackets are great companions for fall. However, if you just want to walk through nature, they might be a bit overdressed. A cool blouson with a retro look is simply perfect here! This goes great with trousers – yes, even jeans (in a retro look, of course) – and casual swing skirts.
By the way, my blouson is from the retro brand 18nulleins.
