Stylish cardigans for the cold season
Autumn is here and somehow it seems as if winter is just around the corner. So it’s the perfect time to refresh our wardrobe and stock up for the cool temperatures. A piece of clothing that cannot be missing this season is the cardigan. Not only is it practical and warm, but it is also incredibly versatile and stylish. In this blogpost we take a look at some beautiful and inexpensive models and I’ll tell you why cardigans are an absolute must-have for autumn and winter. I’ll also show you how you can easily style modern cardigans in a classic retro look.

Cardigans are the perfect piece of clothing for the cold season. They offer warmth, comfort and style all in one and are incredibly versatile. Whether for everyday life, the office or special occasions – with the right cardigan you are always well dressed, cozy and warm. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get a nice model. Cardigans are incredibly versatile and can be combined with almost any outfit. Whether over a simple T-shirt, a blouse, a dress or with a skirt – a cardigan gives every look a cozy touch. They are available in different lengths, cuts and colors, so there is something for every taste.
This season I chose a classic black cardigan, which is super easy to combine and easy to care for (with the cardigan from Bonprix*). With a small child, the only clothes I can really consider at the moment are clothes that I can wash in the washing machine. 😉

How to style cardigans in an elegant way:
Cardigans offer numerous styling options and can be combined from casual to elegant depending on your mood. For a chic, vintage-style look, I like to style them with fashion classics from bygone times.
- Combined with classic midi skirts, a cardigan looks elegant and is even suitable for the office. A simple cardigan looks particularly stylish with a pencil skirt. This time I chose a fishtail skirt in the 30s style, but of course you can also choose a classic fitted skirt.
- My tip: Cardigans with a slightly looser cut are comfortable and perfect for everyday wear. However, if you prefer it tailored and figure-hugging, simply wear a waist belt over it.
- Of course, nothing works in autumn and winter without warming accessories, which is why I combine my outfit with stylish vintage gloves and warm tights. Tip: There are special thermal tights for winter that look like fine stockings. 😉
- A small handbag in a crocodile look looks particularly elegant and goes perfectly well with the vintage look.
- Classic shoes with heels that are not too high look stylish and are my favorite choice for everyday wear, as they are much more comfortable than thin high heels.
- Pieces of jewelry such as a brooch can instantly make an outfit look more classic.
- A hat literally puts the crown on the outfit. I like to use this stylish accessory to transform an everyday look into something very special in no time.
