I didn’t think I’d ever write this, but leggings are now one of my most worn items of clothing. They are simply super practical in everyday mom life. It’s comfortable and you can play extensively on the floor, crawl around the playground and do your housework. You can definitely look well dressed in it. There are now leggings that even look elegant when styled correctly. In this style guide I’ll show you how to do it.
The perfect leggings
First of all, it is of course important to choose the right leggings. I like to rely on models with that certain something. Either it’s a nice pattern or details like buttons (e.g. from Calzedonia via AboutYou*) etc. For everyday wear, I usually choose cheaper leggings from Calzedonia, for example. But there are also leggings in all price categories. How about e.g. with glamorous velvet leggings (via myTheresa*, among others)?

How to style Leggings elegantly: the matching Tops
I like to wear a little looser tops with tight leggings. In winter, for example, these are beautiful knitted sweaters. When it’s warmer, however, I go for classic striped shirts or stylish T-shirts with a retro look. If you like it elegant, wear shiny tops in silver or gold.
Stylish details on the top are also a great idea. This could be a sophisticated boat neckline or a few beautiful embellishments.

You can definitely venture out the door in leggings. Especially in the cold season, you can give leggings a great upgrade – with a cape. This looks super stylish and turns a simple everyday look into a really stylish outfit with retro flair.

How to style leggings elegantly
In addition to clothes and accessories, hair and make-up are of course also part of a good look. But don’t worry: this doesn’t have to take a lot of time. When it comes to hairstyles, I like to wear a ponytail with a hairpiece. It’s done in two minutes and always looks great.
Even my makeup can be done in three minutes if I’m in a hurry. Then I use the Magic Finish Make up Mousse by Asambeauty* (it even mattifies and you can apply it with your fingers – saves time), some mascara, brow powder, cream blush and lipstick – that’s it.
