Hot temperatures and even hotter cars: lately, I visited a vintage car meeting by the Gasoline Gang in Peißenberg, near my hometown. I must admit that I don’t know much about cars, may it be new ones or oldtimers. However, I really enjoy looking at them! Especially at the old ones, obviously. Good music was the crowning glory of the event.
Of course a vintage car meeting calls for a stylish but comfortable vintage outfit. And since the amazing oldtimers (most of them are from the US) are a wonderful backdrop for pictures, we decided to take some outfit photos for the blog.
The red Circle Skirt by The Seamstress Of Bloomsbury
The Circle Skirt by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury is made of a wonderful light Crepe de Chine fabric and therefore the best choice for hot summer days. A small belt enhances the waist and the length is simply perfect. I teamed the red swing skirt with the Jive Blouse in “Cream”, which is by The Seamstress Of Bloomsbury as well. I especially love the little details like the heart-shaped buttons and the lovely collar. Both pieces are classics and super easy to combine. If you wear them together, you will get a classy chic 40s inspired outfit.
Of course no look is perfect without the right accessories. The red bluebird brooch by The Seamstress Of Bloomsbury goes so well with the Circle Skirt and is a wonderful eyecatcher. My handbag is, as so often lately, a wonderful straw bag from the secondhand shop. Black wedges not only look great, they are also super comfortable and therefore ideal for occasions like this.
As it was quite hot, I was super happy to have my parasol with me. This one not only helps me to stay cool, but also protects my sensitive skin from UV rays.
