Spit of snow, sparkly Christmas lights, an icy wind, and complete silence: There isn’t a time of the year when I enjoy long walks by night as much as I do during pre-Christmas season. Not even the low temperatures are able able to keep me inside, as there isn’t a wrong weather to go outside, there is only the wrong clothing – something my mum told me when I was a child. 😉 To make sure the cold isn’t damping my spirits, I wear warm clothes and cosy accessories. But of course I want to maintain my vintage style. So in this blogpost I’m going to show you how to dress for a long winter walk outside featuring the Circle Skirt “Daisy” as well as the Jenny Cardigan in “Rosewood” by Vivien of Holloway.
For long Walks outside: The Circle Skirt “Daisy” by Vivien of Holloway
I’m never able to resist a swinging, voluminous circle skirt! Especially when this piece of clothing looks as adorable as the Circle Skirt “Daisy” by Vivien of Holloway does. As the skirt is black and white, it matches almost everything, although the flower print is quite prominent. Underneath, I’m wearing a matching petticoat which also helps to keep me warm.
Warm and stylish: The Jenny Cardigan in “Rosewood”
I teamed the skirt with a classy top and the Jenny Cardigan in “Rosewood” by Vivien of Holloway. The cardigan is absolutely perfect to make my outfits winterproof, as I already told you in my blogpost about the movie outfits in “Their finest”. And I’m just so in love with the gorgeous rosewood colour – simply perfect for Christmas!
Thermal tights, a beret, gloves, as well as a fake-fur collar help to keep me warm as well. On top, I’m wearing a cosy black jacket.
And as it’s much more fun to walk in flats than in heels, I chose pretty black Oxford shoes. Earrings and a brooch by Glitter Paradise finish this warm vintage inspired outfit.
