Wonderful small retro shops and brands
With the beginning of autumn, temperatures dropped drastically here in Germany. So my favourite season really starts now. However, with the colourful leaves and rainy days, a kind of melancholy mood catches me. These almost carefree days with café and restaurant visits at the terrasse, as well as smaller meetings with friends and family outside are over, and noone really knows what comes next. Nevertheless, I try to make the best out of the situation, prepare myself for cosy days with good books at home, and enjoy looking at the wonderful new autumn fashion.
If you are searching for a few autumn garments and/or accessories as well, you may want to support some small retro shops and labels that really had a hard time the last few month. In this blogpost, I already introduced some wonderful small retro brands from Germany, and in the following, I want to share my favourite small, international retro shops and brands with you.

Wonderful Retro Shops and Brands for Clothing
The Seamstress of Bloomsbury
The Seamstress of Bloomsbury has a huge archive full of original 1940s cuts. So it is no wonder that this brand offers amazing and very authentic 40s style garments. Furthermore, they mainly use natural fibres like crepe de chine and cotton. I own lots of wonderful clothes by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury – from dresses, to blouses, and skirts, as well as trousers – and really enjoy wearing them. Click here to find some examples and outfit ideas.
My must-haves from The Seamstress of Bloomsbury: The classy Jive Blouse* as well as a matching swing skirt*.

The Russian brand Ginger Jackie creates real fashion masterpieces, often inspired by Dior’s New Look. The quality and details of the garments are really amazing, and everything looks very authentic and expensive. Ginger Jackie definitely is one of my favourite brands for high-quality designer retro fashion.
My must-haves from Ginger Jackie: Ginger Jackie offers so many timeless, classy designs that it is really hard to name a favourite. But I would go for a beautiful, timeless dress in a neutral colour like black, grey, or white. 😉
L’école Des Femmes
L’école Des Femmes acutally is a Californian brand, but highly influenced by the French style. The designs are elegant, sexy, cheerful, mature, and powerful – what a wonderful mixture!
My must-haves from L’école Des Femmes: A cheerful gingham dress with lots of lovely details

To be honest, Lena Hoschek isn’t really a small retro brand anymore. Nevertheless, her designs are so wonderful, classy, and high-quality, that I simply had to add this Austrian brand to this list, although the garments are quite an investment. 😉
My must-haves from Lena Hoschek: Lena Hoschek has so many wonderful and timeless designs that I simply can’t name one or two favourites, but I really like the traditional Ribbon Skirt.
