A perfect shirt dress for summer
Oh how I love the lightness of summer – or maybe I should say summer vacation! Seemingly endless hours of sunshine, long days and even longer evenings. We spend our days on the beach, the sound of the sea in our ears. Our favorite pastime is collecting shells and beautiful stones before throwing them back into the water. Everything feels so light and lovely. Stress only arises when you create it (for example, if you really want to take a photo of your outfit before sunset, but you’re already late – of course it would never happen to me…). Sometimes I wish the days here never end. But then I remember that everything has its time. But before the change of seasons soon announces itself, we are still enjoying these wonderfully carefree summer days.

The perfect outfit for a relaxed summer
In summer I love looks that reflect the carefree and lightness of this season. For me that currently means: particularly voluminous skirts and comfortable but stylish cuts are the focus. The gorgeous shirt dress is from Ginger Jackie and has been one of my favorite summer dresses for years. It also perfectly transitions from mid-summer to late summer. I’ve worn it so often that I somehow completely forgot to take a photo of it. Well, we would have checked that off too. 😉
As I said, I’ve had this dress for a long time, so unfortunately it’s no longer available. But I have put together some great alternatives.

The dress is already an eye-catcher, so it doesn’t need many accessories. I rely on my beloved vintage basket bag, which I’ve had for at least 10 years, as well as gorgeous vintage sandals. I sometimes wonder why there are hardly any such magical shoes left today. The pretty straps and the high-quality workmanship make them something very special. They are also comfortable and have been around for many years. I only had to have them resoled once and they were in great shape again. By the way, I discovered the sandals at Alexa’s in Munich (I’ll introduce you to this and other great vintage shops in Munich in this article).
