When someone asks me which retro fashion era I like most, I’m not able to give a clear answer. I love the flapper dresses from the 20s, the glamorous gowns of the 30s, the simple elegance of the 40s, the petticoats and stunning suits from the 50s. Lately, I also felt in love with the cheeky 60s fashion. I especially like the straight lines and loud colours. If you are searching for authentic high-quality 60s fashion, I highly recommend the German label Grünten Mode. This year, I even had the honour to model some dresses from the latest spring/summer collection 2017. In this blog post, I tell you a bit more about it. There was one dress from the collection, I immediately felt in love with: The Kelly Dress.
A breathtaking Show-Stopper: The Kelly Dress by Grünten Mode
The straight cut in combination with the boat neck and thin straps is gorgeous itself. The real show-stopper, however, is the colour-blocking design. I didn’t know that a combination of black, white, red, and blue can look so amazing! I always get so many compliments when I’m wearing the Kelly Dress.
The 60s inspired dress goes perfectly for the office, but also looks great for a coffee date or even dinner. Quality and processing are amazing! Grünten Mode only makes high-quality garments and produces everything in Germany.
Such a stunner dress doesn’t need a lot of accessories. Black earrings by Glitter Paradise and red patent leather pumps are enough. A vintage handbag finishes the look. However, I have to admit that I would have prefered to team the Kelly Dress with a Kelly Bag by Hermès. 😉
A walk through Friedrichshafen / Lake Constance
We took the photos for this blog post during our trip to Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance. The city with its about 60,000 inhabitans is not only the city of Zeppelins, but also has a very lovely lakeside promenade. A walk at the water is something I always enjoy, as you maybe already know from this article. So it even didn’t matter that it was very stormy. I had, however, sometimes huge problems getting my hair under control. Every now and then, I miss my bun a teeny tiny bit. 😉
