Although we still have snow here in Southern Germany, and temperatures are pretty low quite now, it’s obvious that spring is just around the corner: Every morning you hear more birds twittering, and the sun is shining longer and longer every day. So for me, it’s time to replace my winter jackets, coats, and capes by trenchcoats. However, I’m not brave enough to store my winter clothes in the darkest recesses of my closet by now. 😉 Furthermore, I wear a lot of pastel colours, floral prints, and a light makeup nowadays. And one of my all-time favourite sweater by Ted Baker has been my faithful companion the last few weeks. In this blogpost, I’m going to show you a relaxed retro outfit that makes me think of spring, but is still warm enough for a walk in the snow.
Classy & elegant: A Spring Look inspired by the late 50s
This time, I’m wearing trousers! I usually prefer dresses and skirts, however, I found out that trousers a pretty handy for a walk in the icy nature. Mine are high waisted, of course. I teamed them with my beloved light pink sweater by Ted Baker which you maybe already know from previous blogposts (find examples here, here, and here). I believe, it’s worth investing a bit more money in a sweater you really like and wear a lot. If this sweater has some lovely details, even the better!
On top, I’m wearing another classic: the trenchcoat. I think a beautiful trenchcoat is an investment piece just like a good sweater. I bought mine several years ago at a Ted Baker store in London and still wear it a lot. Taupe coloured heels, vintage accessories, as well as a pink lipstick finish this relaxed retro look.
