How to style a white pencil dress

A white pencil dress looks absolutely amazing and very elegant, doesn’t it? There is just one problem: It almost screams “bride”. Don’t get me wrong, brides are amazing. But I am sure we all don’t want to look like we came straight from the wedding altar, do we? So in the following, I am going to show you how to style a white pencil dress without looking like a bride.

PS: Maybe you even own a short, fitted wedding dress and find some inspiration on how to style it in a different way. 😉

How to style a white Pencil Dress: My Advice

When styling a white dress, accessories are very important. You shouldn’t choose something too romantic or playfull. I personally rather like to add some contrasts with black accessories. Navy blue works well, too. However, then your outfit will get a more nautical look.

A big Hat

I decided to crown my outfit with a huge black hat by Seegang Berlin*. The hat is not only a great eye-catcher, but also super stylish and absolutely reminds me of Dior’s New Look. If such a huge hat is a bit too much for you, of course you can also go for a more subtle fascinator.

Black Accessories meet a white Pencil Dress

Beside the hat, I went for some more black accessories. Long vintage leather gloves, black pumps as well as a black waist belt add some stylish and cool contrasts.

Worn like this, a white dress looks super stylish and not at all like bride. O what do you think?
