Seamed stockings and tights always look very elegant themselves. There are hoses, though, that are so very special that they are able to bring every outfit to the next level. In this blogpost, I’m going to introduce the most glamorous hosiery for every occasion and tell you, which stockings go with which outfit.

The name says it: The Diamond Heel Stockings by Secrets in Lace are real head-turners, but still glamorous and timeless – just as real diamonds. A black seam finishes the beautiful look of these fully fashioned stockings. Those hoses are a perfect choice for evening occasions that require some kind of elegance, but are not meant to dress too fancy.

The Anya Outline Nylons are very special: They have a black outlined European heel and therefore look super glamorous. These hoses are fully fashioned as well and look amazing together with a vintage inspired outfit. The Anya Outline Nylons may be head-turners, but they are also classy and therefore go well with both, daytime and evening looks.

Dark stockings with shiny seams in red oder gold are super glamorous and therefore perfect to finish an elegant evening outfit. I love to wear them on special occasions or for a dinner with my love.

Even a simple black seam is quite unusual, nowadays. Colourful seams are even more striking, especially when the colour is a strong red. The stockings by What Katie Did* are not fully fashioned and therefore don’t have a “real seam”. Furthermore, they are not true nylons, which means they don’t wrinkle. Stockings like these are perfect for special occasions like Valentine’s Day or a romantic dinner with your love. A red seams looks great in combination with a dress/skirt in the same colour, or a classy little black dress.

Rhinestones instead of a classy seam are super special and very glamorous. And if they are as subtly as on these tights by Wolford*, you can even wear them in everyday life. They go very well on evening occasions as well, though.

Who would have thought that stockings and tights can be philosophical? Quotes like “Love”, “Live your Dream” or “Follow your Passion” might usually be banal, on hosiery, though, they are simply amazing! These kind of stockings/tights go very well as a modern stylistic inconsistency together with vintage and retro outfits.
Glamorous Stockings with thrilling Seams: Seductive Hosiery by Agent Provocateur
A seductive alternative to philosophical phrases are stockings with wicked quotes like these by Agent Provocateur*. Or what about a seam in form of a snake*? Stockings like these are not really suitable for everyday life. They are a wonderful choice for a romantic dinner with your love, a burlesque show, or a visit at the varieté theater, though.

Glamorous Tights with thrilling Seams: Lacings & Cut-outs
When it’s getting cold and uncomfortable outside, I prefer warm and opaque tights. But even these can be quite glamorous and thrilling. Especially when they have lacings* or cut-outs* instead of a seam at the back. Of course such tights look amazing together with vintage (inspired) autumn/winter outfits.
